  some saw the picture of the pirate in the wt and laughed...some may have even thought it was inappropriate (all that raping and pillaging!).

  but consider, a pirate is the perfect example of a goal for our young ones to motivate them to look to the paradise and potential studies.

  pirates don't require higher education...no need for our children to idolize astronauts or politicians.

  Pickler, Keep us posted how your sons and his friends feel, in say a months time, after preparing, cooking, serving and eating said product. If he is a growing boy, and eats there, he just might be saving you a lot of money on the weekly food budget! lol

  The short sightedness of learning

  in 2 years im surprising my wife for our 20th with a 2nd marriage in italy.

  weve been planning to go for the last few years so she knows about the trip.

  i decided that since im going to be in italy for a month and since i sit at a desk on my computer for 8 hours a day, i might as well spend that time productively and learn some italian.

  CADSkin ...Hello! When I read this , I thought, wow, this is so romantic, which it is, so to understand more, I read up on some of your earlier posts.

  You have been together with your wife since you were teenagers. Now you have 3 children after your wife had 3 c-sections.

  You are planning on having a month in Italy, in 2 years. You have gotten into shape, stopped drinking and more or less, have turned your life around.

  I think this could be the great motivator, to help your wife with her body image. You say, you have contacted a wedding planner. I say, bring it up with your wife first. If she is typical, it should light up her eyes. A second wedding...in Italy! How romantic is that?! Then mention, that you had hoped, she would love the idea, and maybe ask, if she would like to go to a wedding planner, that specializes in these matters, that you could check it/them out "together".

  I think it was Jgnat or Mamachan13, that mentioned the importance of team building, in a relationship, that was posted on one of your earlier threads.

  With the goal, you have in mind, sharing your life and ideas, with your Beloved, I think, she just might be taking Italian lessons with you! Then after she joins in the fun of it all, smile and wink and give her the ciao Bella!

  before ww2 ended in 1945, a number of conferences between the so-called 'allied' powers, tried to cobble together some sort of vision of a post-war world.

  poor old korea, a japanese controlled state for something like the previous 35 years was not given much thought.. japan had been given control of korea as a result of the russo-japanese war (1904-05), an event now largely forgotten, but with huge consequences.

  both russia and japan had heavy losses, but the japanese emerged as the winners, totally destroying two russian fleets.

  I got my attempted memorial guilt trip just now....

  knock on the door and cobe and wife (my old group overseer) standing in the cold.. bollocks!

  ...i consider for about 1 second leaving them out there and just talking holding the door... but think better of it as it was cold an so invited them to step inside.. just passing thru and doing some calls he says, ... i know why he's here and after the preliminaries (how are you, we miss you etc), i preempted him and sped things right along.. "i can guess why you are here" i said, "it being memorial season and all.

  " he makes a jokey point about nothing gets past me does it.. he looks uncomfortable, then does the invite manouver and says "you are welcome to come" followed by "we'd like to see you there.".
